Getting started
Import a negative, choose its Film Base, refine the frames, review the roll, and export the result.
Film Base
Establish an initial rendering of the negative before moving into detailed adjustments.
Auto
Choose Original, Classic, or Adaptive Auto as a starting point, then continue with manual controls.
Roll
Move between photographs in the same roll, make selections, and adjust frames while keeping the surrounding images in view.
Gallery / Contact Sheet
Review sequence, rhythm, and color continuity across the roll in a grid or contact-sheet view.
ICC / ColorSync
Choose an ICC profile for the intended output. macOS ColorSync participates in display and output color management.
Export
When the result is ready, export it to a location you choose.

Supported workflows
ARAW / RAF
Use Film Base, Original / Classic / Adaptive Auto, manual editing, Roll, Gallery / Contact Sheet, and color management. Export to TIFF, JPEG, or PNG, with ICC profile selection.
BFFF
Import and preview are supported, together with Exposure, Contrast, Rotation, and Classic in the current workflow. Export is available as TIFF or JPEG. The editing range is different from RAW/RAF.

Frequently asked questions
Does RIMERO modify my original photos?
No. RIMERO keeps editing state and exported files separate from the source. Clear Current Roll clears the working roll in RIMERO; it does not delete the source files.
Which output formats are supported?
RAW/RAF can be exported as TIFF, JPEG, or PNG. FFF can currently be exported as TIFF or JPEG.
How do I use a custom ICC profile?
Choose an ICC profile installed on your Mac in the color-management controls. macOS ColorSync participates in display and output color management.
How do RAW/RAF and FFF differ?
RAW/RAF includes the full negative-preparation path and a broader editing toolset. FFF currently provides import, preview, selected adjustments, and TIFF / JPEG export.
How do I clear the current roll?
Choose Clear Current Roll in the Roll workspace. This clears the current working roll without deleting the source files; you can import them again when needed.
